We have been awarded the Friendly Workspace Label!
On August 26, we were officially awarded the Friendly Work Space label by Health Promotion Switzerland. This award is the culmination of our in-house work on Corporate Health Management. Stéphanie Dabrowski, our Head of Talent, shares the challenges and opportunities that this initiative has brought to light.
Why did we initiate this certification process?
At Loyco, we’ve been working for several years with Health Promotion Switzerland to support our customers in dealing with health issues in the workplace. Applying for this label seemed a logical next step: the opportunity to assess our own approach to organizational health, to benefit from an external viewpoint and to continue to make progress on this fundamental subject for our Loycomates.
What are the criteria for this label?
The criteria are as demanding as they are comprehensive. They include the organization’s values, structure, collaboration and leadership methods, the quality of communication, employee development, workstation ergonomics and health care in the broadest sense. A global approach that echoes our vision of the company.
What actions have we put in place?
We have defined a structured action plan to improve the criteria identified as priorities, with regular monitoring of progress. Several concrete measures have already been implemented. In particular, we have already been able to improve the ergonomics of our workstations, we now systematically conduct a health questionnaire every two years, to better understand and anticipate needs linked to well-being in the workplace, and we are also going to work on a communication plan. The idea is also to formalize the integration of GSE into our corporate strategy.
What challenges did we face?
The main challenge has been to make this approach a long-term one, by continuously improving each of the criteria assessed. This implies rigorous monitoring of the actions implemented, without ever losing sight of our priority: the health of Loycomates, whatever the operational challenges encountered. Another challenge? Devoting the time necessary to ensure that it remains at the heart of our corporate strategy, and not an “afterthought”.
How did we raise them?
It all began with a complete self-diagnosis of our operations, followed by an audit conducted by expert consultants in the field. This dual approach – introspection and external evaluation – enabled us to confirm our achievements, but also to identify concrete areas for improvement to be integrated into our day-to-day operations.
