Introduction to the Future of Organizations Team

Spotlight on Our Future of Organizations Team

New Loycomates have just joined our “Future of Organizations” team. This is an opportunity for us to introduce them more fully: what the team does, how it integrates strategy, governance, risk management, and sustainable development, and above all to highlight the people who make it up.

“Future of Organizations” is the name we’ve given to the team that helps our clients ask the right questions before they become urgent: how do we make decisions together? What could put us at risk? And what impact do we really want to have? In practice, these questions often overlap: strategy, governance, risk management, and sustainable development influence one another.

This area serves governing bodies—foundation boards, boards of directors, executive committees—to step back and reflect on their medium- and long-term vision through strategic workshops.

One method is based on the inverted pyramid logic: starting from the organization’s purpose and working down to concrete projects, passing through vision and strategic objectives. We detailed this approach in a previous article.

Here, the team draws on a conviction born at Loyco itself: our governance model, Loycocracy. This area of expertise supports organizations in their strategic, governance, and transformation thinking. The team works on four key interdependent dimensions:

  • strategy
  • structure
  • culture
  • communication

Its support takes various forms: vision workshops, purpose or values workshops, clarification of roles and responsibilities, evolution of governance models, or organizational diagnostics to identify areas for improvement.

This area of expertise helps organizations identify strategic and operational risks (IT, financial, etc.), prioritize them, and build a realistic action plan aligned with the international ISO 31000 standard. The team also facilitates workshops with field teams to surface risks as experienced day-to-day, and strategic workshops with foundation boards, boards of directors, and executive committees.

This area helps move from intention (“we want to be more sustainable”) to a concrete trajectory through several methods, including:

  • A sustainability assessment, which can be based on a double materiality matrix, crossing an organization’s impact on its environment with the impact of these issues on its performance, directly linked to risk management.
  • Strategic work to integrate a long-term impact dimension.
  • An impact report including non-financial indicators.
  • A three-year roadmap.

The team also relies on a network of specialized partners to cover diverse expertise needs.
